Sisask, Urmas alustas kompositsiooniõpinguid aastal Tallinna Muusikakeskkoolis Anatoli Garšneki, René Eespere ja Mati Kuulbergi juhendamisel ning jätkas René Eespere kompositsiooniklassis Tallinna Riiklikus Konservatooriumis, mille lõpetas aastal.
Alates aastast on tema tegevus olnud seotud Jänedaga, kus ta aastani töötas kultuurimaja kunstilise juhina, aastani muusikaõpetajana ning mitmete muusikakollektiivide, sh Jäneda kammerkoori juhatajana. valmis Jäneda mõisahoone tornis nn muusikatähetorn, kus Urmas Sisask aastal avas ka enda loodud planetaariumi.
Olulisemad teosed ja loomingulised saavutused
Urmas Sisaski loominguline väljund ulatub vaimulikust muusikast rahvapäraste laulude ja isegi räpini ning sisaldab kooriteoseid, klaverimuusikat, kammermuusikat ja orkestriteoseid.
