Den Kummer, den Farah Diba (78) ertragen musste, sieht man ihr nicht an. Zunächst glich ihr Leben einem Märchen aus Nacht, dann entwickelte es sich zu einem Drama: Als jährige Architekturstudentin lernte sie in Paris den iranischen Schah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi (†) kennen, der nach nur einer Woche um ihre Hand anhielt. Nach der Hochzeit (seine dritte) wurde die schöne Iranerin als Grace Kelly des Mittleren Ostens gefeiert – auch noch, als das Paar mit seinen vier Kindern ins Exil gehen musste.
Doch die Königin musste noch mehr Schicksalsschläge ertragen: starb ihr Mann an Krebs. beging ihre jüngste Tochter Leila Pahlavi († 31), die an Depressionen litt, Selbstmord mit Beruhigungsmitteln. Zehn Jahre später brachte sich auch ihr Sohn Ali-Reza Pahlavi (†44) im amerikanischen Exil um. Besonders tragisch: Seine Lebensgefährtin Raha Didevar (42) war schwanger, Tochter Iryana (5) wurde sieben Monate nach seinem Tod geboren. The Crown Prince of Iran, Prince Reza Cyrus Pahlavi, has announced on his official website that the daughter of the late Prince Ali Reza and his fiancée, Raha Didevar, was born on July 26, in the USA.
The newborn, named Iryana Leila, was born seven months after her father&#;s death and is the fourth grandaughter of Empress Farah.
Part of the statement read, &#;We know you will join us, out of respect and love for our dearest Alireza, and allow the baby and her mother Ms. Raha Didevar to recover and thrive in peace and privacy.&#;
The late Prince Ali was engaged in with Sarah Tabatabai, but the couple broke their relationship months after.
