Dance master Raghuram died
Popular dance choreographer Raghuram passed away on Saturday in Chennai at his residence. He was 64 years. The dance master had a cardiac arrest at about am. He had completed 50 years in Tamil cinema and had worked with almost all the veteran actors and actresses. He had acted, directed and choreographed films but was known to the world as a renowned choreographer. His association with Kamal Haasan had produced some of the best dance centric films including Salangai Oli.
Celebrities from Tamil film industry went and paid their homage to the dance master. Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Bhagyraj, Shanthanu, director Balachander, Radhika Sarathkumar, Sivakumar, Radha Ravi, KS Ravikumar, Priyadarshan, Lizzy Priyadarshan, Mansoor Ali Khan, Mano Bala, Namitha, Prashanth, Chinni Jeyanth, Editor Mohan and Vivek went to Raghuram’s residence and paid their last respects. The cremation was held on Sunday.
He is survived by wife Girija, daughters - Suja (former Television actress) and Gayathri (dance choreographer and actress).

Raghuram (1 May [citation needed] – 30 November ) was an Indian dance choreographer, who choreographed more than a thousand songs in Indian films across various languages.[1] He was born into a Tamil BrahminIyer family and is the grandson of actor Krishnaswami Subrahmanyam.

Raghuram began learning Kathakali, aged five from prominent dance expert Guru Gopinath, and then in , he switched to learning Bharata Natyam under danseuse K. J. Sarasa.
