Artur Bordalo, neto do artista plástico Real Bordalo, nasceu em , em Lisboa. Em homenagem às suas raízes artísticas intrínsecas na família, escolheu o nome de Bordalo II. Este jovem artista tem vindo a recorrer ao uso de objetos abandonados nas ruas das cidades para a sua produção artística. O lixo, nomeadamente plástico, metal e materiais eletrónicos, tornaram-se materiais de composição, que são transformados e moldados, pelo artista em forma de animal. A escolha destes materiais é a forma de Artur Bordalo criticar a forma como vivemos atualmente. O desperdício, o materialismo, o nosso próprio consumismo e a necessidade urgente de sustentabilidade são as temáticas abordadas nas suas instalações.

&#; How did it all start for you, and what is it nowadays?
It started even before the start. My background it is graffiti, I mean the real one, illegal and funny, but as I spent my whole youth doing it, than I wanted to make something else, using the street knowledge as tools and inspiration on my daily experiences.
